Flourless Choco chip brownie is a protein rich, Gluten free, Vegan treat with no refined sugar too!
This was the first dish that got (re)made for the baking bug that’s recently come out of its slumber mode. The first time, it vanished within minutes and the kids were keen that I bake it again. It was also one of the first bakes I made when I ventured into GF / Flourless Baking. How to make Eggless Flourless ChocoChip Brownies
- Soak the Channa / Chickpeas overnight or for minimum 8~10 hours
- I dont like using or buying canned chickpeas, so if you do canned stuff, please rinse and drain all the liquid out.
- If using raw chickpeas, pressure cook till soft but not mushy, drain and set aside.
- I used my bulk prepped (that I cook in bulk and freeze) chickpeas, thawed the desired quantity and set it to room temperature.
- Prepare the flax egg whisking the flax meal in warm water and set aside for 10-15 mins.
- Pre heat oven to 165C (the temp that worked for me depending on this quantity).
- Grease the mini muffin moulds or whatever pan you are using
- In a blender, add the cooked chickpeas and rest of the ingredients except the topping, scraping down as you stop for a few seconds.
- Slowly spoon the mixture into the greased moulds, topping with walnuts and / or chocochips as desired.
- Bake for 22~25 mins, mine were done in 18+4 = 22 mins (baking temperature varies from oven to oven)

I have seen brownies with white chick peas, but using brown us so new. The brownie has turned out super fudgy and so chocolatey. No wonder kids loved it.
Omg, this is ultimate, with black chickpeas simply superb Kalyani. And those brownie bites looks super fudgy as well.
I was looking out for a bean brownie recipe and now I have the best recipe. This flourless choco chip brownies look simply delicious.
They look just like brownies made with flour. They must taste great as they are very popular on vegan blogs. Brown chickpeas is a nice variation to black beans.
That surely sounds fantastic!..using browns ones is a new one I haven't read before. Great bake!
That is a lovely share kalyani, i haven't experimented with flourless baking yet, will check that link you have given above.

Oh, that is such an interesting gluten free brownie recipe. Using black chana is a great idea. I've seen black bean brownies, so black chana must be a good Indian substitute for it. Protein packed and guilt free chocolaty treat.
I have always been wanting to bake with the canned beans, since those brownies look so tempting… no wonder why the kids asked for it again…
