Sizzling Tastebuds

Oye Punjabi !! With Sarson da Saag and Makki di Roti

For the 2nd
week of BM Buffet, We start on indian States. Indian cuisine has such versatility that to choose a single dish from a state is such a humungous task. Although some disheshave shared recipes with their neighbours, there are classic dishes which depict the heart of that state.

Today, we have a classic combo from the heart of Punjab – Makki di
Roti and Sarson Ka Saag. Although we see this being made exclusively in the
winters, I had the opportunity to learn it last year and we all loved it..

Punjab
known for its lavish meals, the winter season gives it a real reason to indulge
in farm fresh veggies. I particularly recall the movie Dilwale Dulhania Le
Jaayenge (Aka DDLJ) where the entire Punjabi hinterland comes alive in its
culture,eating habits and gregarious hospitalityJ

So lets check out
this combo from Punjab state.
