Badam Makha from Kolkata

While shortlisting for alphabet B, it was to be between Bread Bhel (which am yet to blog – just can’t believe that, and a take on the famous Bhel Puri !! ) and today’s dish – Badam Makha – a delicious street food from Kolkata. Kolkata has its own list of street foods from various kinds of Bori(which is akin to pakoras), luchis, the ubiquitous puchka, Jhal muri, Channa Zor Garam and with the Tibetan , Bangladeshi influence , lots of indo-Chinese recipes as well.

Badam in Hindi is almond. But here it’s something else .
