Use thick variety poha for this dish
Do not soak the poha in water. Run it in a colander under running water. Drain, cover and keep till used.
For enhanced taste, add a tsp of ghee while sauteeing the crushed black pepper. skip ghee if vegan.
One may use broken red chillies and peanuts also to enhance the taste
use Freshly crushed black pepper (not pepper powder) for the best taste
